Ventia’s Adelaide Operations Centre (VOC) operates from our Wakefield Street office in the heart of the CBD, just steps from public transport. The VOC provides high-quality customer service via inbound, outbound, and email communication, partnering with a diverse mix of clients across essential public services and frontline sectors to support the communities we serve.
We’re currently hiring for two full-time Dispatch Operator positions, primarily covering afternoon to evening shifts (approximately 3:00pm to 11:00pm). Flexibility is important, as weekend and public holiday work may be required to meet operational demands.

About the role
As a Dispatch Operator, you will be responsible for handling dispatch, jeopardy management and subcontractor calls while working across multiple contracts using Click. Training will be provided to set you up for success as you take on a range of responsibilities, including:
- Dispatch work orders through FES/Click, ensuring timely delivery of high-priority jobs to trades.
- Manage multiple contracts while multitasking across systems and communication channels.
- Support inbound call overflow and respond to subcontractor inquiries, including access issues.
- Liaise with site supervisors to allocate jobs and ensure smooth coordination.
- Action Freshdesk tickets to resolve overdue, reallocated, or cancelled work orders.
- Monitor work order outcomes, meet team KPIs, and contribute to overall productivity.
- Provide a positive customer experience, matching needs with effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records across databases, spreadsheets, and documents.
About You
- Prior experience in a similar position, along with a positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
- You’re confident handling objections, resilient during challenging calls, and quick to build rapport with customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Comfortable with technology, you work well across different systems including CRMs, and consistently meet KPIs, productivity goals, and AHT targets.
- You thrive in high-volume, fast-paced environments and stay focused on continuous improvement and personal growth.
- Experience within Defence or Housing contracts. (Highly regarded)
