First Nations Grounds Maintenance Attendants

Ventia are seeking First Nations Australians for multiple Grounds Maintenance positions based at RAAF Base Edinburgh.

In line with our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) we focus on the following areas:

Respect - we recognise and respect the local customs and practices of First Nations people and their communities and the importance of these practices in preserving and protecting their culture; and
Opportunities - we are committed to providing long-term, sustainable employment, training, education and business opportunities for First Nations peoples and their communities.

Position includes, but are not limited to:

• Operate ride on mower, whipper snipper and other equipment
• Upkeep and maintain gardens and lawns.
• Participate in general labouring of the grounds, (and assist other trades and services) building and plumbing trade sites or as directed.
• Regularly clean (and conduct daily maintenance of) vehicles, grounds equipment, machinery and tools.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 6.30am-3.00pm. You have the choice to be employed on a Permanent full-time wage of $24.12 per hour or a full-time or Part- Time Casual at $30 per hour (inclusive of casual loading).
