First Nations Hospitality and Catering Attendants

Ventia are seeking First Nations Australians for multiple Hospitality and Catering positions based at RAAF Base Edinburgh.

In line with our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) we focus on the following areas:
Relationships - we see that having strong, sustainable and respectful relationships with First Nations people and their communities is crucial to ‘closing the gap’ of disadvantage between First Nations and non-Non First Nations Australians;
Respect - we recognise and respect the local customs and practices of First Nations people and their communities and the importance of these practices in preserving and protecting their culture; and
Opportunities - we are committed to providing long-term, sustainable employment, training, education and business opportunities for First Nations peoples and their communities.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

• Delivering meals
• Clearing and resetting tables
• Bar service
• Clearing glasses and filling stock
• Cash/EFTPOS handling
• Retail Assistant
• Cleaning

Skills and Experience:

• RSA Certificate or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding work environment
• Barista skills preferred but not essential, just the willingness to learn
• Display a positive attitude and approach to working as part of a team 
• Drivers licence and own transport is preferred
• A medical including drug and alcohol screen and a criminal history check will be conducted before employment
