The Opportunity
Ventia is seeking a Trade Coordinator to oversee both reactive repairs and preventative maintenance at Noarlunga Hospital and other sites within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN). This role is part of our AGFMA contract and involves managing on-site trades, including both internal teams and subcontractors.

 

As part of the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA), Ventia provides comprehensive facilities management services for over 3,500 government-owned sites across 25 agencies in South Australia. We collaborate with local small and medium businesses to deliver essential services to the community, operating 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

 

This is a permanent, full-time position primarily based at Noarlunga Hospital (Monday–Friday). However, you may be required to work at other SALHN locations as needed. The role also includes on-call responsibilities, covering all SALHN sites.

The key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Provide site-based oversight of works assigned to the trades ensuring all work is conducted in accordance with relevant standards and specification.
  • Ensure works are completed by competent and qualified trades people within timeframes specified in work orders to the required work standards and/or the standard detailed in materiel specific instructions, including works completed by subcontracted trades.
  • Monitor and track performance against both individual and contract-specific KPIs, ensuring that all work activities contribute to the achievement of agreed-upon goals and objectives for quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with clients, suppliers, and the service delivery team regarding maintenance activities.
  • Maintain documentation of repairs, modifications, and additions by uploading photographic records, relevant documents, and other necessary items to the company's record systems.
  • Promote a safe work environment by ensuring that workspaces are suitable for the tasks at hand. If suitable conditions can’t be met, collaborate with the team to implement acceptable mitigation measures.
  • Perform safety inspections of repairs, maintenance and completed work.

 

Requirement:

  • Relevant trade qualification. (Highly desirable) 
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence (Required) 
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC) (Required or willing to obtain)
  • Demonstrated leadership of trades within a service delivery model, consistently meeting client expectations and standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain maintenance records in designated computerised system in required format and timeframes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
