Transmission Linesworker - Apprentice/Trainee

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Transmission Linesworker - Apprentice/Trainee. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Transmission Overhead. The role involves working on high-voltage transmission infrastructure, supporting the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead power lines.

Key responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage transmission lines and associated infrastructure.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in linework.
• Handle installation and maintenance tasks in elevated work environments. 
• Follow strict safety protocols and procedures.
• Participate in on-the-job and classroom-based training.
• Support qualified tradespeople and work as part of a team.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• A strong interest in the electrical and energy industry.
• Electrical trade background or pre-apprenticeship training (Highly regarded).
• Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
• Willingness to work outdoors.
• Safety-focused team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Must meet the entry requirements for Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Transmission Overhead.
• Able to pass a pre-employment checks: in-clinic medical (including drug/alcohol testing), police check and reference checks. 
• Current driver’s licence (or working towards obtaining one).
