Seamsperson

• Permanent role, $27.10 per hour plus Super
• 7:30 am – 4 pm (Monday – Thursday) | 7 am - 2 pm (Friday)

Are you a skilled and motivated Seamsperson with a knack for customer support and warehousing duties? 

We’re looking for a dynamic Seamsperson to join our team in Amberley, QLD! In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our clothing stores services, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service. This role will work within our contract for the Australian Defence Force where you'll work under general supervision, either independently or as part of a team, to perform a range of tasks. 

Your role will involve:

• Perform Seamsperson tasks including sewing of rank badges, medals and insignias 
• Perform basic clothing alterations such as hemming 
• Perform tailoring measurements of customers 
• Help clients & customers by assisting with outfitting and kitting of clothing 
• Ensuring accurate work order records are kept 
• General clothing stores duties including ensuring clothing store inventory records are accurate 

Key skills & Attributes: 

• Experience in hand stitch and sewing machine clothing alterations 
• Experience using heavy duty sewing machines 
• Experience working in a team/Customer Service environment 
• Basic computing skills 
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment 
• Current licence and reliable transport

 
Must be eligible to hold a Defence baseline security clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen.
