About the Role
Due to an increased workload, Ventia have multiple permanent positions available for experienced Telecommunication Riggers to join our Wireless Network team in Arndell Park, Western Sydney, Australia. This role requires you to travel, complete regular overtime and be away from home for extended periods of time.

In this role you will be responsible for upgrading and modifying existing wireless telecommunication sites including Mobile, Fixed Wireless and Broadcast. Your duties will also include:

 

  • Working at heights, installing mobile / broadcast antenna systems, RRU, feeders, Microwave Link install and panning
  • Installing / Erecting steelwork, monopoles, towers, etc. as required on both Greenfield and Co-Lo sites
  • Installing and testing of hybrid cables
  • PIM testing, sweep testing, distance to fault, terminating feeders, bird-proofing and waterproofing connectors
  • Reading / interpreting construction and As-built drawings and completing works to specification and standards
  • Installing and maintaining antenna and feeder cables on monopoles and towers

About you

  • Proven experience as telecommunication rigger
  • Experience with NBN wireless, Optus, TPG (desirable)
  • Current intermediate or advanced rigging ticket
  • Ability to work with EWP and cranes
  • Working at heights and Perform Tower Rescue certified, with the ability to comfortably operate at heights regularly (i.e., climbing up to 80m)
  • RadHaz / EME Awareness
