Electrician - Telco

Ventia are hiring a full time permanent Telco Electrician to work in our Telecommunications sector on the ICF fibre network. This is a once-in-a-lifetime project upgrading the national inter-city network with advanced optic fibre cables. You will be required to travel regularly across Metro & Regional NSW. Travel may involve working away from home (overnight stays & remote travel).

What you’ll be doing:

• Based in within our ICF (Inter-City Fibre network) new shelters and exchanges division
• Work on Small to Large DC power systems, Solar Power systems, Industrial AC including EPP install and Telecommunications alarm telephony
• Providing full construction activities on a range of equipment
•  

What we’re looking for:

• Licensed Electrician ideally with Telco experience 
• DC Power Systems (rectifiers, batteries), Emergency Power Plants (Generators), Solar Powered Systems experience 
• CPR LVR and First Aid (Mandatory)
• Station alarm experience in ACCADS, TESAMS and Ai Remote platforms
• Radio & Optic fibre technologies requiring sound fault diagnostics and rectification skills 
• Working at heights/Tech Rigging and/or Confined Space or prepared to undergo training
