Ventia provide network construction, deployment, and maintenance team to the Telecommunications sector. Our specialists build and maintain some of the region’s largest fibre optic and mobile networks and are dedicated to delivering superior design, build and maintenance solutions and innovation for critical communications networks.

We’re hiring a newly created Quality and Acceptance Manager in our construction team to play a pivotal role in ensuring our services meet the highest quality standards by monitoring construction activities, inspecting installations, and verifying adherence to design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The role will also be responsible to provide oversight management and leadership to the acceptance teams reviewing artefacts for handover to our wireless clients.

 

This full time permanent role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane, Victoria, Adelaide or Perth.

What you will be doing:

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure Build and Acceptance teams are up-to-date and monitor compliance on all applicable technical build standard, client variations, building code changes Leadership and Support:​Provide leadership, guidance, and support to quality and acceptance team members, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluation, ensuring a high-performing and cohesive team environment.

  • Define and Manage Build Standards and Acceptance Criteria:​ Establish and document acceptance criteria for Wireless technical builds, including network configurations and equipment installations, ensuring they meet client project requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular on-site inspections of construction activities, including tower installations and equipment installations, to verify quality, accuracy, and adherence to design requirements.
  • Quality Audit Framework and Control Checks: Perform quality control checks on materials, equipment, and workmanship to identify defects, deviations from specifications, and potential safety hazards, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Training and Development: Develop internal standards that consolidate and clarify Client requirements and train delivery teams to drive First Time Right outcomes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities, and prepare detailed reports documenting findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions taken.
  • Program Forecasting and Team Enablement: Develop and maintain acceptance forecasting.  Lead acceptance team to drive outcomes through to final acceptance by removing obstacles and promoting positive activities such as continuous improvement activities with the program teams and field teams.

 
About you:

  • Previous experience in Telecommunications mobile wireless sector is essential.
  • Experience with carrier client acceptance processes in the mobile wireless sector is essential.
  • A background in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Management.
  • Ability to conduct training on quality control processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated auditing skills.
  • Sound organisational, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent relationship management and engagement with clients.
