The Opportunity
Step into an exciting opportunity with our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance contract as a Site Engineer, specialising in cutting-edge pavement improvement projects! In this dynamic role, you’ll take the lead in driving the seamless coordination and successful delivery of high-impact maintenance activities and innovative minor projects. Be at the forefront of transforming Sydney’s roads while making a lasting impact on the infrastructure that keeps the city moving!
Key Accountabilities:
- Efficiently manage specific tactical maintenance tasks and project initiatives.
- Lead the project management process from development through to delivery, ensuring environmental approvals, design, utilities management, and construction phases are effectively executed.
- Take full responsibility for the delivery of projects within the agreed time, budget, and quality standards.
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation within the team and project scope.
- Foster a collaborative environment and promote stewardship principles across all project activities.
- Undertake any additional duties as required, within the defined scope of practice.
- Assess and manage subcontractors and internal teams to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure effective project control and maintain high standards of reporting across all phases.
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness in forecasting, cost reporting, and resource allocation to meet project objectives while optimizing costs.
- Report daily site activities in accordance with SRAPC standards, as directed.
About You:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficient in programming and planning with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Hold a White Card.
