We are looking for a motivated, self-starter to join Ventia and support our Power Sector. While this role will be based out of our Otahuhu office you will have the opportunity to travel around Auckland to different sites. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team and enjoy varied work across different risk levels, locations, and contracts.

You have at least 3 years SHEQ experience and are comfortable working independently. A background in in the power sector is ideal so you can hit the ground running, but if you are ready to learn we are ready to teach, so this is not essential. Your excellent communication skills will ensure you are able to successfully build relationships and engage with teams and clients across contracts.

Partnering with the project leadership team, this role is responsible for the implementation, monitoring and governance of Group and Sector SHEQ programs, systems and processes into projects whist driving consistency in line with business and client requirements. This role is the key interface between the Sector SHEQ Manager and operational delivery.



  • Ensuring the provision of current and updated SHEQ Management Plans and subordinate systems, processes and templates are compliant
  • Delivering monthly SHEQ governance performance reports to the Project Director & Client, providing analysis, trends and recommendations for improvement
  • Conduct incident investigations, monitoring and assurance activities and corrective actions, providing coaching as required
  • Providing SHEQ guidance and assistance in the preparation and execution of internal & external audits
  • Assisting the Project Director to map client SHEQ requirements against Ventia’s SHEQ requirements
