SHEQ Coordinator/Administrator

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the SHEQ NZ Manager, The SHEQ Coordinator supports the SHEQ Team and the employee wellbeing and worker engagement programmes. The role will assist and support the SHEQ Manager and the SHEQ Business Partners in driving Ventia’s commitment to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all those involved with its activities including workers, contractors, suppliers, and all other persons working in or visiting our places of work. 

 

KEY RESONSIBILITIES

  • Provide first point of contact advice and support for SHEQ processes and general H&S queries
  • Undertake project work which may arise through changes in health and safety legislation or improvements in internal processes and systems 
  • Coordinate the administration of health & safety systems and processes such as Incident reporting and investigation, Injury management, Claims management administration

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with HSE or SHEQ procedures in a large organisation
  • Proficient experience in use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Experience with managing the ACC process
  • Confident communicator, able to engage with staff at all levels
  • Excellent working knowledge and understanding of health and safety risks
