ABOUT THE ROLE

Under the supervision of a Manager or Supervisor, the role of the Site Engineer will undertake various tasks ranging from assisting team members with new projects, conducting research, assisting with planning, writing reports and managing data and recommendations.

 

Responsibilities ( not limited to)

 

  • Supporting the Project Manager and other teams as directed with planning of resources to ensure efficiencies are gained
  • Championing Quality Assurance onsite and ensure ground staff work meets designs as well as providing feedback to Project Manager on progress and productivity.
  • Assisting Project Manager with daily cost tracking sheets as well as conducting research to collate data and present reports
  • Travelling to different local sites and gain practical experience in different work projects
  • Identifying areas of continuous improvement and operational excellence (e.g. technology/innovation to improve processes) and providing feedback to the Project Manager to assist with developing and embedding new processes.
  • Complying with our Risk Management, Quality and Health, Safety and Environment management systems, including statutory obligations. 

 

  

ABOUT YOU

Ideally you will have experience or exposure in Project Management, Planning, or scheduling. Good Working understanding of NZ3910-2003 and the CCA is preferred. You will also need to be able to interpret, evaluate, analyst plans, diagrams, and sketches provided to deliver scope and effective planning and scheduling

 

Key skills and competencies:

 

Experience

  • Experience in Project Management, Planning or Scheduling
  • Good working understanding of NZS3910-2003 and the CCA (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, evaluate, analyst plans, diagrams and sketches provided to deliver scope and effecting planning and scheduling

Education and qualifications:

  • Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or higher
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
