ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Team Manager (General Services) supports integrated service delivery and Ventia’s whole-of-asset focus.  The role is responsible for the management of General Services teams providing combined sanitation and waste, hard services and open space services falling within the General Services.
 

Key Accountabilities

• Recruitment, onboarding and training of team members
• Coaching and mentoring of team members to achieve the best possible outcomes for our business and clients
• Performance management and disciplinary processes.  
• toolbox talks, training sessions in an engaging way, and be prepared to accept feedback on new ways of working from operational teams
• Staff engagement and productivity as measured by engagement surveys, ER transactional activity and turnover
• HSEQ audits
• Stakeholder and client management

Minimum Requirement of the position

• Relevant experience in sanitation & Waste or Hard Surfaces Delivery is an advantage
• Additional qualifications and/or knowledge of employment relations and SHEQ is advantageous
• Full Class 1 Drivers licence
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
• Knowledge of power tool use, storage and handling
• Credible supervisory or management experience of diverse workforce
• 5 or Plus years supervisory / management experience in a position involving large volumes of assets and programmed servicing schedules
