This is an exciting and diverse role where no two days are the same! One day you can be working at the mayor’s office and working out in a park the next day. Ventia is engaged by Auckland Council to carry out all its FM-related works across hundreds of its buildings and facilities around the North Shore, Central Auckland, and part of East Auckland.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be reporting to the Multi Trade Team Manager and will be responsible for providing minor repairs and maintenance to the allocated buildings, equipment, and offices under the Devonport-Takapuna/Kaipatiki area. You will perform a variety of job tasks and duties to assist Ventia in achieving all Service Delivery obligations and goals. 
 

The depot is based in Albany, but the role will take you to different sites around the assigned region

 

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience in building or facilities maintenance, preferably around carpentry or painting, must be a good communicator, and have the ability to work with people from all walks of life. Your attitude, flexibility, and willingness to help are key to your success in this role. Other requirements:

  • Clean Full Class 1 driver’s license
  • Physically fit as this role involves being out on the field and doing manual, physical work.

 

The successful candidate should be motivated, and willing to work hard to ensure their own personal growth and the development of the team. There is a strong focus on meeting client expectations and providing high levels of customer service.  

You will need to have good communication skills, and a desire to go the extra mile.
