The Role
We have a newly created position for an operational leader, who will be responsible for delivering significant programs of work in the Ventia Transport portfolio, including Integrated Delivery Contracts (IDCs) for the maintenance and operations of New Zealand's state highway network, in Northlands, Waikato, and Canterbury.
Depending on your previous experience, you could have accountability for developing and deepening a contract or contracts, which will include customer relationship, operational delivery, and driving successful commercial outcomes. This will include the development of people, goals, and execution of the project delivery plans.
The role is an integral part of the Transport Leadership team, stretching from planning and execution, working with all stakeholders and other leaders to grow revenue, build a key client relationship and ensure delivery service excellence.
About You
This position is focused on growth and customer relationships, which could suit both operational leaders with outstanding communication and leadership strengths, or equally someone from within a consultancy that has built the relationships and sector knowledge and can translate that into an operational leadership capacity. Key requirements include:
• Strong relationships within NZ Transport sector
• Deep understanding of contracting and O&M markets
• Demonstrated success in delivery of multi-million, high profile projects
