About the role 

As a proactive Handyperson, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of Defence facilities behind the scenes. In this hands-on role, you’ll carry out general maintenance tasks, assist with repairs, and help ensure the site remains safe, functional, and well-presented.    

 

 

About you 

  • Background in labouring, handyman, removals, or trade assistance are desirable 

  • Must be familiar and comfortable using hand tools 

  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks and able to be on feet for long periods 

  • Hold a current Australian Driver's License & own transport to drive across sites. 

  • Respectful and inclusive approach to working with diverse communities 

  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on safety and teamwork 

  • You take pride in delivering high-quality work safely and reliably. You follow established procedures, actively look out for your teammates, and understand that safety is a shared responsibility. You contribute to a culture where safety incidents, near misses, and hazards are reported promptly and constructively.

  • Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police
