About the role   

Ventia is seeking a qualified Refrigeration Mechanics to perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems across the Defence facilities. 

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)  

• Reactive and preventative maintenance on air conditioning and compressor units 

• Repairs, maintenance, and installations of plant & equipment 

• Fault Finding and refurbishment works 

• Compressor changeouts 

• Brake line maintenance and repairs 

• Installation of PCB's (Printed Circuit Boards) 

• Effectively communicate with customers to support other trades people 

About You  

• Proven experience in a Commercial/Industrial environment 

• Hold a current Refrigeration Mechanic trade qualification & Refrigerant Handling License (RAC) 

• Hold a current Restricted electrical licence 

• Hold a current LVR and CPR (1- year validity)  

• Hold a White Card  

• Respectful and inclusive approach to working with diverse communities  

• Hold a current Australian Driver's License & own transport to drive across sites. 

• You take pride in delivering high-quality work safely and reliably. You follow established procedures, actively look out for your teammates, and understand that safety is a shared responsibility. You contribute to a culture where safety incidents, near misses, and hazards are reported promptly and constructively. 

• Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police
