Stores Person

As an Australian Defence Force partner, Ventia works across some of Australia’s newest, most unique equipment including artillery, small arms, instruments, night vision equipment, high-tech armoured vehicles, personnel carriers, and propulsion equipment.

With growth within the contract, we are seeking a Stores Person to assist on site at the Bandiana Defence base on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

A attractive hourly rate of $32.72 for an experienced Stores person offering development opportunities, a great team culture and half day Fridays!

Duties include:

• Unloading goods and checking them against order forms.
• Catalogue or label items with storage details.
• Place goods in bins and on racks.
• Complete orders by selecting goods from shelves and checking them off appropriate lists.
• Package and send out completed orders to customers.
• Move heavy packages using forklift machinery.
• Obtain details of the location and quantity of items in stock, using visual display units or computers.
• Enter details of received delivery slips, requisitions, and invoices into computers.

 
Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in a warehousing/stores environment
• Forklift license essential
• Driver’s License essential.
• Medium Rigid License desirable.
• Good communication, problem solving, writing and analysis skills.
• Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft systems and Office Suite.

You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to complete a medical and Federal Police check as per the contractual requirements.
