Your Role
As an Electrical & Instrument Engineer, you will: 

  • Design and specify instruments for pressure, flow, level, and temperature measurement, including datasheets and loop diagrams. 
  • Specify and design on/off and control valves, including valve sizing and actuator selection. 
  • Select control system hardware, design system architecture, and develop functional specifications. 
  • Design fire and gas detection systems and contribute to LOPA, HAZOP, and CHAZOP assessments. 
  • Perform hazardous area classification and relevant calculations (Ex ‘i’, ‘e’).
  • Participate in FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia).
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status (or substantial progress towards obtaining it). 
  • Strong technical expertise in Instrument & Control Engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software for detailed design tasks. 
  • Solid knowledge of Australian Standards, codes, and regulatory requirements relevant to Instrument & Control Engineering.
