About the Role
The National Site Acquisition Manager will lead and manage the property-related aspects of our mobile network deployment projects across multiple client programs.
Reporting to the National SAED Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team of property specialists, manage internal and external resources, and ensure the successful delivery of property components within the project scope.
This role will play a critical role in setting up governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to client guidelines, and negotiating and finalising lease agreements and other property-related documentation. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a large portfolio of sites, manage complex property issues, and drive innovative solutions while delivering commercial outcomes for our clients.
This role can be based in any major city of Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee property delivery across client programs, managing a team of 10 property specialists.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the property team to ensure high performance.
- Ensure cost recovery, on-time delivery, and budget adherence for property functions.
- Develop and implement Site Acquisition Quality Management Plans for projects.
- Ensure compliance with client guidelines, legislation, and best practices in lease negotiations and co-location processing.
- Manage the full lifecycle of property acquisition, from site selection to securing approvals and legal documentation.
- Negotiate favourable lease terms and renewals within client parameters.
- Manage governance for external property partners and legal providers.
- Report progress to senior managers and project teams, ensuring accurate milestone forecasting and issue resolution.
- Drive innovative negotiation strategies for optimal commercial outcomes.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications recognised by the Australian Property Institute.
- At least 10 years’ direct work experience in wireless telecommunications property acquisition industry.
- Direct experience in wireless telecommunications property acquisition, with a focus on lease negotiation and management.
- Proven experience in people management and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of commercial lease negotiation, particularly in the mobile telecommunications sector.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and mapping software.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
