About the Role
Reporting to Ventia’s Transport Sector CFO, the Sector Analyst provides timely and insightful analysis and reporting to enable data driven decision making across Ventia’s transport sector and drive areas for optimisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reporting & Analysis: Lead the preparation of monthly sector reports, 13-week cashflows, and working capital reviews. Provide insightful analysis to improve cash performance and project outcomes.
- Strategic Support: Partner with the Sector CFO to develop and implement strategic initiatives, decision support tools, and dashboards to drive efficiency and productivity.
- Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with group policies, conduct balance sheet reviews, and provide resolutions to mitigate risks.
- Continuous Improvement: Develop training materials, share best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the sector.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Embody enterprise values and actively contribute to the finance community to support business goals.

About You
- Knowledge of project work management systems and technical accounting in construction or services projects
- CPA or CA qualified with experience in project accounting and corporate/sector-level roles
- Strong analytical, report-writing, and financial modelling skills
- Expertise in SAP (required) and Power BI (preferred).
- Proven ability to link financial performance to operational outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
- Experience leading change, influencing stakeholders, and developing financial acumen in teams.
- Agile mindset with a track record of championing innovative ways of working.
