ABOUT THE ROLE
 

As a Senior People & Culture Business Partner in Ventia’s expanding Water business unit, you will integrate business goals with people management strategies, to ensure contractual commitments are met, while fostering a collaborative culture where people are central to our success.

Your experience will be vital in shaping organizational culture, enhancing capabilities, and boosting staff engagement for our growing contract team. 


Daily responsibilities include providing strategic and practical HR support, addressing complex challenges in blue- and white-collar environments, including:
 

  • Supporting contract mobilisations.
  • Develop and implement people strategies, including apprenticeships programs.
  • Manage labour forecasting and workforce planning.
  • Enhance skills and capabilities.
  • Foster cultural integration and engagement.
  • Liaise with government clients and regulators.
  • Support IR strategy and manage union relations.


Reporting to the Contract Manager with a dotted line to the sector P&C lead, this role supports a hybrid work environment, with a balance time spent working from home, as well as from out Brisbane offices (Pinkenba/ West End). Occasional visits to our site offices in Landsborough and Staplyton will also be required.

ABOUT YOU
   

  • A strong presence and the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Bachelor of Human Resources or related discipline
  • Demonstrated and successful ‘hands on’ experience in a P&C Business Partner / HR Management role.
  • Broad HR generalist experience including: Workforce Development & Capability, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Change and Communications Management, Labour Strategy & Employment Relations, and the execution of people plans.
  • Experience in driving cultural change and realising outcomes.
