Are you a safety leader ready to make a real impact? Support our Transurban QLD network as a Senior Health and Safety Advisor. This is a hands-on role where you will drive safety excellence, lead investigations, and embed a culture of “Safety and Health above all else”.

This is a deliverable based role with annual performance reviews and autonomy to deliver agreed outcomes flexibly across hours and sites (day and night).

What you will be doing

  • Implement and manage Safety Management Plans across the project
  • Risk management (compliance, standards, quality, controls) and lead risk assessments and maintain risk registers
  • Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures and legislative requirements
  • Conduct safety investigations and manage relationships with regulators
  • Drive continuous improvement through monitoring and reporting of SHEQ performance
  • Provide sustainability leadership and ensure adequate resources for safety objectives
  • Support team training, inductions and SHEQ awareness initiatives


Required Skills and Experience
Experience in road / tunnel network environments will see you succeed in this role or solid experience with construction or infrastructure projects.

  • Cert IV in WHS, Environment or Quality (or equivalent)
  • ICAM incident investigation training
  • Lead Auditor qualifications
  • Strong understanding of SHEQ legislation, ISO standards and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to mange safety audit programs and drive compliance
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • White card and current C class driver’s licence
