About the role 
The WHS Advisor is responsible for the implementation, monitoring and governance of Group and Sector SHEQ programs, systems and processes into projects whist driving consistency in line with business and client requirements.  This role is the key interface between the Sector SHEQ Manager and operational delivery.  

What you’ll be doing

  • Implement objectives aligned to the Sector SHEQ strategy at the site or location level
  • Contribute to the development and execution of broader company strategies, initiatives, programs and leading SHEQ practices
  • Delivery of programs across the site or location to ensure all project requirements are addressed
  • Implementation of SHEQ management plans, emergency response and business continuity planning
  • Provide key legislative and organization updates as required
  • Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment and practices
  • Lead and manage ICAM and Serious incident investigations
  • Facilitate and support effective return to work and injury management
  • Promote development of a strong SHEQ culture to support a safe and caring working environment
  • Actively train and coach operational and project staff


About you

  • 5+ years in similar industry, services or construction organisation
  • Diploma in safety or related discipline
  • Cert IV Training & Assessment
  • ICAM Lead Investigator
  • Sound communication skills including high level of literacy and numeracy
  • Incident causation methodology
  • Operational experience in high-risk environments (motorways & tunnels)
