About the Opportunity

Ventia is seeking a dedicated People and Capability Advisor to support our Prisoner Transport Contract (SAPMICM), based in our Cavan office.

In this pivotal role, you will deliver operational support while collaborating closely with the People and Capability Manager to enhance the management of our mobile workforce.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with Leadership: Collaborate with business leaders to identify and implement People and Capability initiatives that align with our operational goals.
- Empower Management: Equip the management team with the information and tools necessary for effective, consistent, and empowering leadership, fostering a culture of accountability.
- Innovate Processes: Advise on and promote new ways of working that align with contract requirements while maximizing opportunities for improvement.
- Resolve Employee Relations Issues: Support local management in effectively managing and resolving employee relations issues, ensuring thorough and appropriate investigations.
- Stay Informed: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management and collaborate with Employee Relations/Industrial Relations management as needed.
- Engage in Enterprise Bargaining: Actively participate in enterprise bargaining initiatives.

Education and Experience

- Strong understanding of the industrial landscape.
- Proven experience in reviewing, interpreting, and applying policy and procedure to real-world workplace scenarios.
- Ability to identify client needs and offer practical, effective solutions.
- Experience thriving in a fast-paced contract delivery environment.
