About the Role


In partnership with Australian Defence Force, Ventia are currently seeking a Food & Beverage Trainees to work and study, completing a Certificate III in Hospitality. Working at HMAS Cerberus (Crib Point, this Traineeship will see you embark on an exciting and rewarding career, which will give you an incredible platform for you build your hospitality skills.



What’s on Offer


As a Food & Beverage Trainee, you will work closely with the Front of House Manager and other support staff, learning valuable skills and gaining exposure to all kitchen duties including:


  • Basic Cooking and Food preparation
  • Managing any cleaning tasks, such as dirty dishes, dishwashing
  • Assisting in the dining and kitchen areas
  • Being flexible and helping the whole team
  • Running food and taking orders


About You


  • Are a highly motivated team player that is looking to join a team of like-minded crew members.
  • Have the desire to learn and commit to a Apprenticeship program.
  • Have a desire to succeed and a passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service. 
  • Have literacy and numeracy appropriate to the position.  
  • Customer service experience (beneficial but not essential)
  • Hold a current Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (Some sites are not serviced by public transport).
  • Be an Australian Citizen in order to be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. 
  • Are willing to undergo and successfully complete a Police check and pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
