We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Contract Administrator at Confluence Water. In this role, you will be supporting the Commercial Contract Manager and Project Teams in the compliance with subcontract and Head Contract obligations, including the management of variations and extensions of time.
This is a permanent role with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in the office), and you will be part of a collaborative, close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Commercial Contract Manager or delegate in managing Work Orders released under the Head Contract and the corresponding subcontracts issued in response.
- Effective administration of subcontracts, covering variations, extensions of time, compliance with processes, procurement procedures, and provide commercial support to project teams.
- Support Procurement in planning and managing tenders effectively and support the assessment of tender responses and execution of subcontracts and work packages.
- Assess and advise on subcontract variations and EOT claims and their management and maintain registers
- Conduct preliminary commercial evaluation of tenders from subcontractors and appraise bids by liaising with Project Managers and Engineers.
- Assist with the commercial compliance with the Head Contract and manage subcontract obligations
- Assist in the resolution of disputes in collaboration with the Commercial Contract Manager or delegate, the Project Teams and others as required.
- Ensure all subcontract obligations are completed relating to bank guarantees, insurances and variations amongst others.
- Prepare payment schedules in accordance with the Security of Payments Act and advice from project teams.
What You Will Bring
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and apply contract terms and conditions.
- Tertiary qualification in Construction and or Business or related field.
- Contract administration experience within a commercial organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a dynamic contracting service orientated. environment.
- A general understanding of construction works.
