Confluence Water, the Ventia, Downer and Jacobs joint venture, is one of three consortia delivering services under Sydney Water’s Partnering for Success program. Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services in Sydney Water’s North region, which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.

 

As a Data Analyst, you will work Monday to Friday as part of our Chatswood-based Maintenance Team, supporting operational excellence within the water and wastewater industry. This role focuses on analysing maintenance and operational data from various systems to enhance workflow efficiency, asset management, and decision-making. Working closely with our Maintenance and Operations teams, you will provide critical insights to optimise processes and improve performance. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced data professional with Power BI expertise to make a significant impact in a vital industry.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

 

  • Analysing and interpreting maintenance and operational data from SAP, Maximo, and Power BI.
  • Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance activities.
  • Generating detailed analytical reports to support maintenance planning, asset management, and project tracking.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve data-driven decision-making and optimise workflows.
  • Ensuring data integrity and identifying areas for improvement within current systems.

 

 

ABOUT YOU:

 

  • You have extensive experience working with Power BI, including dashboard creation and data visualisation.
  • You are proficient in SAP and Maximo, ideally within a maintenance or asset management environment.
  • You are comfortable working with large datasets and have a proven ability to deliver actionable insights.
  • Experience in the water and wastewater industry is highly regarded but not essential.
  • You possess excellent communication skills and can collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
  • You have a keen attention to detail and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the maintenance, utilities, or asset management industries.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI for data analysis, dashboard creation, and visualisation.
  • Familiarity with SAP and Maximo, particularly in maintenance or asset management contexts.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data management, with experience in querying databases and managing large datasets.
  • Certifications in Power BI (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) and familiarity with SAP/Maximo (advantageous).
  • Experience in the water and wastewater industry is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling you to explain data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
