Confluence Water, a Ventia, Downer and Jacobs Joint Venture, is one of three Regional Delivery Partnerships providing services for Sydney Water. We work hard to ensure that Sydney Water keeps running for people who live in the North Region of Sydney - rain, hail or shine. We are often the first to reach an emergency during severe weather events and we are responsible for the delivery of an unprecedented pipeline of capital works over the next 10 years.

Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.

 

We have an opening for a Mechanical Project Engineer in our North Head Team, based at the Sydney Water Treatment Plant in Manly.
 
THE ROLE


•    Demonstrate commitment to HSEQ by participating in monitoring established working practices.
•    Support the Project Manager to ensure allocated projects are delivered to scope within time, cost, quality, and regulatory standards.
•    Liaise with client representatives, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and planning authorities, and facilitate meetings and workshops to ensure satisfactory completion of planned work.
•    Manage subcontractors/suppliers. Contribute to the review process, ensuring reviews are planned and undertaken well in advance of works starting on site.
•    Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of the self-perform workforce and subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
•    Ensure that the project Quality Assurance requirements through process and procedures are being complied with.
•    Prepare subcontractor scope of work and relevant documentation for tender by potential subcontractors in collaboration with the Commercial team.
•    Monitor and review project costs, supplier invoices, and subcontractor claims for allocated projects.
 

ABOUT YOU 

•    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

•    Proven construction experience including time based on site in a Tier 1 or 2 Company.
•    Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, quality, and environmental management.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Client relationship and stakeholder management experience.
•    Problem-solving and analytical skills.with a high attention to detail.
•    An understanding of design drawings and technical specifications.
•    Professionalism, positive attitude, and enthusiasm.
•    Willingness to travel to North Head on a daily basis

•    Current NSW Driver's Licence.
•    Construction White Card.
