Seeking 5 Mechanical Fitters for Permanent Roles!

Confluence Water, the Ventia, Downer and Jacobs joint venture, is one of three consortia delivering services under Sydney Water’s Partnering for Success program. Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services in Sydney Water’s North region, which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.

 

We have an urgent requirement for a number of Mechanical Fitters to join our team and work on Sydney Water Assets in various areas across the North Region as outlined above. These roles comes with a Tool of Trade, Fuel Card and eTag to be able to travel to Sydney Water Sites.. The assets are varied and include Sewerage treatment plants, water treatment plants and reservoirs. You will be working on essential infrastructure and a diverse range of mechanical equipment including pump replacement, penstock renewal, pipework install, general maintenance activities and rotor stator replacement. This is a 10-year program of works offering job stability and the opportunity for training, gaining expereince in the water and utilities industry and career progression. 

 

ABOUT YOU 

  • Certificate III or IV in Engineering – Mechanical Trade 
  • Work Safely at Heights (If you do not have this cert, we will send you for training)
  • Enter Confined Space (If you do not have this cert, we will send you for training)
  • Provide First Aid  
  • Able to execute work tasks with minimal supervision.  


DESIRABLE SKILLS 

  • Flange Management
  • Elevated Work Platform 
  • Tubing & Fitting (Install/Inspect)
  • High Risk Work Licence – Dogging (DG) Competent in core elements required for the discipline and demonstrated experience in some site-specific tasks
  • Leads reliability and performance improvements 
  • Trains and coaches other staff
