Arborist

We’re on the lookout for a skilled Arborist who’s confident in tree felling, scrub cutting, and contributing to our broader vegetation management system. This is a hands-on role with variety, travel, and the opportunity to help train a trainee based in Nelson.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Tree felling, scrub cutting, and general vegetation control
• Supporting utility arborist work (experience around power lines is a bonus!)
• Assisting in training and mentoring a trainee arborist
• Travelling to different project sites across the top half of the South Island (typically once a month, depending on project duration)

ABOUT YOU

• Preferably a qualified Utility Arborist
• Experience working around power lines is highly desirable
• Comfortable staying away from home for short periods
• Practical experience in vegetation management and tree felling
