About the Role
Ventia have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager within our D&SI (Defence & Social Infrastructure) team and will be responsible for overseeing and managing key improvement projects, particularly those related to the initiatives implemented by the Program Manager and Workstream Lead.

This role demands a highly organised, detail-oriented individual with strong project management skills and a deep understanding of business operations and systems.
 

This position will suit an applicant who enjoys working on greenfield type projects and wanting to own and shape the business improvement process.

This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity based out of our offices in Cremorne, Victoria, but also open to any of the states of Australia and New Zealand.

 

Role Responsibilities
 

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budget.
  • Lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring that objectives are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Work closely with the Change Manager to align project activities with change management strategies.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the organization to ensure project requirements and objectives are clearly understood and met.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders about project status, risks, and any changes to the project scope.
  •  Lead and motivate project teams, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure project goals are met.
  • Identify potential risks and issues that could impact project delivery.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and implement continuous improvement practices.

 

About You

You will have extensive experience as a Project Manager ideally in an internal Program of work for improvement / optimisation with Senior Stakeholder Management skills accompanied with:

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects in a large, dynamic organisation
  • PMP / Prince2 (highly regarded)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

 

Due to contractual requirements, you will need to be an Australian Citizen and be able to undertake a police check and medical.
