Project Manager

Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities.

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic Projects & Workplace Solutions team.

The Project Manager responsibilities include providing sound management of multiple small, large and complex projects including project plans, scope definition, timelines, quality definition, assurance and financial control working.

This full-time role will be based in at our head office in Cremorne

Furthermore, the responsibilities will also include:

• Manage each of the activities noted in the project start-up processes.
• Formulate project management plans addressing Scope, HSE and Quality outcomes.
• Develop and manage work breakdown structure for planned work effort.
• Manage construction documents for completeness and ensure all area personnel are aware of the scope and obligations under the contract.
• Manage and maintain project cost plans including forecasting of risks and cost contingencies.
• Establish measurable performance indicators for subordinates, subcontractors and suppliers.

This is a high performing role that is accountable for maintaining exceptional client relationships therefore we are seeking those with excellent communication skills as well as;

• Tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering, quantity surveying or similar.
• Proven project and project team management experience (5 years plus) in a project, construction or similar role
• A strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
• An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
• Strong management and solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management as you will be working on multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong client-facing communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Suite (Work, Excel, Outlook, etc)
