Senior Sustainability Advisor

Ventia provide strategic operations and maintenance, asset management and renewals services to Roads and Transport sector clients including local government councils and authorities in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and Western Australia, as well as the NZ Transport Agency, Auckland Transport and private road operators.

We’re seeking a Senior Sustainability Advisor to play a key role in managing and delivering strategic and integrated sustainability outcomes for one of our major roads contract.

What you will be doing:

• Manage the ISC submission process, meet key milestones and achieve the required ISC rating as per the contract.
• Develop and deliver integrated sustainability activities to meet client and contract outcomes.
• Develop and oversee strategies and tactics to deliver contract outcomes, achieve sustainability targets and generate additional fee services. 
• Lead the delivery of Sustainability Services in partnership with the client.
• Perform to client expectations, maintaining an environment that is outcomes focused and
• encourages open communication.
• Identify and implement sustainability/environmental improvement initiatives, ensuring the delivery against agreed milestones.

About you:

• Experience in sustainability initiative identification and sustainability project management.
• Demonstrated experience of industry Corporate Social Responsibility Frameworks and Sustainability related legislations is desirable.
• An understanding of the Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC), specifically the Operational Rating process – desirable.
• Knowledge of the Transport sector is desirable, not essential.
• Skilled using Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
• An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
