About The Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Site Managers’ primary responsibility to provide clear leadership to both project teams, engineering to ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and ensuring HSE, efficiency and quality goals and objectives are met and maintained on Company and Client sites.
The person will ensure site follow statutory standards, company and Client policies and procedures, particularly those standards, policies and procedures that relate to personal safety of team members and others.
This is a Permanent Full-Time Opportunity based from our Dandenong South depot.
What else you’ll be doing:
- Reporting, investigating and closing out incidents in line with Company and Client reporting procedures and timescales.
- Management of subcontractor’s performance and compliance.
- Participate in the monitoring and maintenance of a QSE & risk management system that meets the requirements of legislative acts, regulations and codes of practice and standards and ensure it is integrated into business on a day-to-day basis.
- Develop, direct and co-ordinate the operation of the project, ensuring that maximum efficiency is achieved in order to meet project budget and Client requirements.
- Take part responsibility for monitoring work organisation and completion within contractual requirements.
- Take part responsibility for monitoring work completions within project budgets
- Site management of construction team including the responsibility for all tendering, development, construction, financial, safety and quality issues involved in these works.
- Ensure that any necessary prioritisation of forward works programmes to meet budget and schedule.
- Program management of construction teams.
- Participate in the implementation of best practice, Innovation and other initiatives within teams, functional groups and across all internal and external interfaces
- Participate in the contract Partnering arrangement that jointly addresses the Client and Company requirements to ensure that maximum benefits are achieved for the Client and the Company
About You
You will have a relevant degree and or extensive construction and workforce management, supervision, and direction in the allocated discipline with experience in major infrastructure projects and/or energy sectors, accompanied with:
- Well-developed computer skills with expertise in industry engineering applications.
- Proven ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Client policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and changes in priorities.
- The ability to establish and maintain a wide network of contacts.
- Understanding of contract commercials.
