Commercial Specialist

Ventia are seeking a proactive Commercial Specialist / Analyst for their Defence Base Services (DBS) contract, supporting operational services.   As a very hands-on role, this is an excellent role for anybody looking to develop, upskill and increase future career prospects within the Defence contracting portfolio.

Reporting to the Commercial Operations Manager, you will work closely with key stakeholders including operational, leadership and executive individuals to advise on commercial matters relating to our DBS Contract, including compliance and operational delivery, as well as the preparation of Contract Change Proposals to be submitted to our Client.

Location - This role can be based in Darwin/Brisbane/Sydney or Melbourne 

This is a permanent full-time role, primarily office based, however will be required to undertake periodical travel interstate to support our Contractual operations. To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Demonstrated experience in contract administration, including managing contracts throughout their lifecycle, especially in facilities management and operational scopes such as domestic services, accommodation, hospitality and other recreational services
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and manage varying commercial aspects of contracts
• Demonstrated ability to self-manage and prioritise workloads, with sound project management skills including using initiative, problem solving and meeting objectives and deadlines
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the capability to collaborate and engage effectively with individuals at various levels of the organization
• Competent in the use of MS Office suite, exposure to SAP system is advantageous 
• Knowledge of the Defence contracting environment would be highly regarded

The successful candidate to this position must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance to the level of Baseline. As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen
