Food and Beverage Team Leader

Ventia is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Food & Beverage Team Leader to join the team at our Howard Springs Defence Accommodation Precinct! This is an exciting leadership opportunity, offering you the chance to manage a diverse team and contribute to the success of Defence Base Services in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Position is casual, with full time hours, offering $36 per hour

As the Food & Beverage Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service delivery while supporting our dedicated team of attendants. You'll have the chance to lead operations across busy breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, as well as vibrant functions during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate a team of Food & Beverage Attendants, ensuring high standards of customer service and performance.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including the service of meals, beverages, and functions for Defence personnel.
• Manage and allocate team resources efficiently, ensuring smooth operations and timely service during peak hours.
• Meet and greet Defence personnel, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
• Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
• Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean, hygienic, and well-organised at all times.
• Assist with stock rotation, loading and unloading supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
• Support inventory control for all kitchen supplies and equipment.
• Adhere to the HACCP program, ensuring operational standards and safety protocols are followed daily.
• Provide training and support to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
   

Skills & Experience You Bring:

• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills – you inspire your team to go above and beyond.
• Previous hospitality and catering experience (preferred, but not essential).
• A passion for creating a positive team environment and delivering high standards of service.
• Basic computer skills and experience with online rostering systems.
• A driver’s license and own transport
• Defence experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
