As part of our contract with the Australian Government Department of Defence, Ventia provide materiel maintenance support of land-based equipment for Joint Logistics Unit (JLU).

We are currently looking for a Stores Person to join our team at Robertson Barracks in Darwin, NT. This role would see you conducting stores tasks, account management and stocktakes, ensuring they are competent and qualified within time frames specified in Work Orders to the required Work Standards and/or the standard detailed in materiel specific instructions

The responsibilities of the position include;

• Receive, unload and inspecting od goods
• Storage and organisation within store locations
• Pick, pack and prepare goods for order fulfilment
• Inventory management including participation in regular stocktakes
• Operating equipment such as forklift, pallet jack or other equipment for handling of goods
• Communicate with team members, suppliers and customers
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines
• Ensure competency skills and licences are maintained and attend appropriate training 
• Assist with maintenance record keeping and documentation 
• Maintaining housekeeping of stores areas

Skills & Experience 

• Proficiency, relevant to the trade environment they will be working in
• Demonstrated experience stores accounting or commercial equivalent
• Possess a current Australian State or Territory open drivers licence for C - classes of vehicles
• Good communication, problem solving, writing and analysis skills
• Well-developed computer skills including SAP, Microsoft and Defence systems desirable 

The incumbent to this role must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Negative Vetting Level 1.  As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen
