Warehouse Manager

About The Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, the role of the Warehouse Manager will provide management, supervision and accountability for the operations of the Ventia Derrimut warehouse facility responsible for ensuring material for the Ventia projects is managed in accordance with the Ventia material management guidelines. 

What you’ll be doing:

You will be managing and overseeing the Ventia Derrimut warehouse facility with the following responsibilities:

• Managing the team who receives, picks, packs and despatches material for the projects that Ventia is completing.
• Regularly assign tasks and responsibilities, establish work schedules and monitor workloads to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
• Raising material requisitions, management of receiving and dispatch orders, receipting and pick slips utilising SAP software.
• Monitoring and management of Inventory, cost allocations and budgets
• Vehicles are loaded and unloaded in compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including Chain of Responsibility.
• Follow and promote the Safety, Health and Environmental as per Ventia procedures and guidelines.
• Responsible to monitor the productivity and efficiency of the warehouse and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to achieve operational targets and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the projects and the National Team to implement effective inventory management practices, such as proper storage, labelling and stock rotation, coordinating stock replenishment and optimizing space utilization within the warehouse
• Safely operating machinery such as forklifts or high reach trucks to load, unload and move items
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of warehouse activities, including inventory transactions and shipping/receiving documents.
   

About You
To be successful in your application, you will have experience working as a Warehouse Manager / Supervisor managing teams, budgets and delivery targets.

You will also possess the following competencies:

• Hold a valid Fork Lift and Drivers licence
• Experience using SAP or similar software
• Highly competent in MS Office applications; Excel, Outlook in particular
• Previous experience in working with field staff, Logistics, Contractors and Freight providers
