Storeperson - Defence Maintenance Workshop

Ventia are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Storesperson to undertake stores related tasks including account management and stocktakes. This role will see you based at RAAF Edinburgh in a Permanent Full-Time position.

 

Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance up to the level of Negative Vetting Level 1. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen.

What you will be doing:

  • Receipting tasks at the JLU Workshop Stores for Technical Support Agencies
  • Pick items from JLU workshop Stores, consolidate inventory into Work Order lots, and deliver items to the appropriate Ventia trades
  • Deliver and collect repair parts and items undergoing repair from TSA as required
  • Plan, manage and conduct spot checks and stocktake activities
  • Manage inventory levels at JLU Workshop Stores and within relevant Supply Customer Accounts and liaise with the procurement/ purchasing teams to ensure there is sufficient stock available to enable the conduct of Maintenance Services
  • Manage Hazardous Chemicals and Problematic Substances in accordance with Commonwealth Policy and the Approved HSMP
  • Operate plant and Material Handling Equipment as required to support stores management tasks


Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in stores accounting or commercial equivalent
  • Defence or Defence Industry experience and qualifications (MILIS) highly regarded
  • Possess demonstrated competencies in the use of computer IT applications. MILIS, SAP and Microsoft Office Suite and preferred


Tickets & Qualifications:

  • Certificate II in supply chain operations or equivalent experience as agreed by the Commonwealth representative
  • Current Australian license for operating forklifts
  • Current Australian State or territory class C Driver's Licence
