Accounts Payable Specialist

Ventia has an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. Reporting to the Team Lead, the focus is to provide a consistently high level of service to all stakeholders and ensure effective, efficient, and best practices provided in doing work order management.

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm. The position offers $80,000 - $100,000 TFR.

What you will be doing:

The role will involve working closely with Finance carrying out Accounts Payable tasks - invoice processing, correct coding, correct GST treatment, batch entry and payment. 

• Effective and cost-efficient delivery of services under area of responsibility. 
• Accounts Payable tasks - invoice processing, correct coding, correct GST treatment, batch entry and payment. 
• You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining lasting working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Maintenance of the open payables ledger and ensuring all balances are correct and all disputed balances are dealt with on a timely basis.
• Provide accurate information to wider business.
• As part of the finance administration team ensuring efficient and effective data processing and payment processes
• Guaranteeing 100% commitment to protecting sensitive information and ensuring all services adhere to security, compliance, and legislative requirements.

What you bring to the role: 

• Relevant qualifications and experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking or Finance.
• A degree in Commerce highly regarded.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team. 
• An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Applicants for this role must be Australian Citizens and be willing to complete an AGSFA security clearance.
