In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, Ventia are currently seeking a Front of House Shift Leading Hand to join the team at HMAS Cerberus located in Crib Point, Mornington Peninsula. 

This is a full-time, permanent role offering $27.83 per hour. 

 

As a Front of House Shift Leading Hand, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day Mess and Bar operations, and associated front of house personnel, to ensure efficient service delivery and exceptional customer experiences.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the food and beverage team to ensure hospitality and catering requirements are understood and service standards are consistently met.
  • Consistently delivering a friendly, helpful, and professional service to all customers.
  • Coordinate staff, ensuring adequate support is provided for all service periods.
  • Regularly inspect all Mess areas, ensuring they are maintained, clean and presentable.
  • Assist with basic food preparation 
  • Prepare end of month reports – stocktakes

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Relevant experience in the food and beverage industry
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certification
  • Food Safety for Supervisors certification (training provided by employer)
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service.
  • Computer literate

 

You must be an Australian Citizen and can maintain a Defence clearance to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check.
