We’re looking for an experienced Build Manager to join our dynamic Telecommunications team based in Hamilton, supporting existing work across the Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Taranaki, and Whanganui regions.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Build Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering complex and high-value projects for Tuatahi. Reporting to the Program Manager, you’ll take full ownership of on-site delivery, managing project execution, coordination, and contractor engagement to ensure quality outcomes on time and on budget.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead project and BAU delivery across multiple regions
• Manage the design, records, and site coordination to ensure compliance with all contractual and legislative requirements
• Onboard and develop subcontractors in growth regions
• Implement cost-effective delivery strategies across planning and field execution
• Collaborate closely with Area Managers and the Leadership team
• Support the identification of new growth opportunities with both existing and potential clients.
This role overseas a team of 8-9 direct reports and plays a key role in shaping the direction of our operations as part of the wider Leadership group.
ABOUT YOU
• Demonstrated experience leading field-based operational teams
• Strong background in Telecommunications on Infrastructure delivery
• Skilled in Project Management, contractor engagement, and cost control
• Natural leader and problem solver, comfortable with ambiguity
• Confident working with diverse stakeholders across all levels
• Experience in identifying strategic opportunities for business growth
Telecommunications experience is highly desirable but not essential if you bring relevant operational leadership experience.
