Utility Arborist

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Transmission Lines group is looking for a fully qualified Utility Arborist to support our busy vegetation team based in Hastings. This role involves vegetation and forestry control around Transpower's transmission high voltage network and will work across the wider lower North Island.

ABOUT YOU

• The successful candidate will have a Level 4 Arboriculture or an equivalent forestry diploma.  Minimum 2 years of current or previous relevant industry work experience required preferably in NZ.
• Experienced in the use of rigging and climbing equipment an advantage.
• Previous experience or knowledge of working around HV or LV Transmission Lines is an advantage.
• A strong health and safety focus is required.
• Familiarity with working around heavy plant and EWP equipment
• A full and clean NZ Driver’s license is required as a minimum, an HT license is preferred.  Off-road (4WD driving) experience would be an advantage.
