Operations Manager DAP-D

Ventia is seeking an Operations Manager to join our world-class Defence Accommodation Precinct (DAP-D) in Darwin, Northern Territory. In this role, you’ll oversee our Cleaning, Hospitality, and Catering services while collaborating with service providers for Grounds Maintenance and Estate Upkeep.

Role Overview: As Operations Manager, your primary focus will be on achieving service and operational excellence. You will partner with both internal and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes, build and lead a capable team, manage client relationships at all levels, and implement improvements to enhance day-to-day operations.

With the diverse nature of this contract, no two days will be the same, ensuring an engaging and dynamic work environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Senior leadership experience in a Defence setting
• Knowledge of Defence policies and procedures
• Experience managing complex, multifaceted operations
• Proven track record in large-scale project management, including support for Defence exercises
• Extensive experience managing diverse stakeholder groups
• Veteran status is highly desirable
• Ability to drive successful outcomes within large teams
• Strong financial acumen, including P&L management
• Familiarity with the challenges of operating in the Northern Territory
• Expertise in customer relationship management and contract management
• Ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and address sensitive issues with dignity
• Results-oriented mindset with problem-solving skills
• Capacity to work autonomously, demonstrating motivation and initiative while managing multiple priorities
• Skill in balancing secure operational requirements with promoting healthy routines for clients
