Construction Electrician

The Role:
Ventia are seeking experienced Electricians to join our Venture Smart team. In this role you will assist with the construction for all Main Roads electrical assets across the Perth Metro and Southwest regions. Some of the assets you will be working on include street lighting, traffic signals, speed limit signs, CCTV and more.

This full-time opportunity, based in Jandakot, WA, offers 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday with opportunities for overtime based on operational requirements.

Key duties, but not limited to:

• Delivery of minor capital works projects on Main Roads Western Australia assets 
• Upgrade and install assets such as Traffic control signals, switchboards and roadway lighting, electronic speed limit signs, help phones, CCTV, vehicle detection systems, Bluetooth travel time units and more  
• Pre-installation testing and commissioning of ITS equipment 
• Direct involvement with the construction phase of electrical assets across Main Roads Western Australia’s contract 

Skills and Experience:

• WA Driver’s License
• Trade Certificate – Electrotechnology Electrician
• Experience in associated electrical and communication works associated with Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) – Highly desirable
