About the role 
In this water treatment operator role, you will perform operations and duties to assist your team mates and the team leader in the management of WorkSafe and quality control systems.
 
Responsibilities:
•    Undertaking Wastewater Operations on five days of the week and weekends as rostered, with a requirement to cover on call.
•    Ensuring that all faults and enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently as well as ensuring that wastewater services are operating efficiently and economically and meet the needs of their users.
•    Ensuring that resources are utilised effectively and in accordance with organisational objectives.
•    Servicing equipment according to maintenance schedules.
•    Daily monitoring and recording of treatment plant operational data.

About you 
Whilst we value seasoned and experienced water treatment operators, we are also willing to consider people who are at the early stages of their career. 
While holding a National Certificate in Water Treatment (Level 4) is ideal, what is most important is finding the right fit for our team and strong aptitude for the job. If you lack the certification, don't worry; we are committed to investing in your professional development and will provide the necessary training.
To excel in your new role, you should bring:
 
•    A current full driver's license
•    Practical knowledge of water supply pumping stations and treatment systems
•    Familiarity with the Drinking Water Standards for New Zealand (desirable)
•    Proficiency in conducting day-to-day maintenance on water monitoring instrumentation and plant equipment
•    Strong problem-solving skills
•    An unwavering commitment to providing safe and healthy water to our community at all times
