About The Role
Our team in Melbourne currently requires the addition of an experienced Traffic Controller (TC3 Advanced) to look after the provision and installation of safe and appropriate temporary traffic management solutions. 

To be successful in this role you will need an advanced understanding of safe traffic management methodologies in the roads maintenance and construction environment. You will also need demonstrable strength with people, and the ability to train, mentor and develop staff. Stakeholder management skills will allow you to engage with internal and external staff/ contractors who are connected to the Traffic Management function. 

This is a full-time, permanent role and will typically operate during evening hours of 7.30pm – 5.00am.

Duties include: 

• Primary Responsibility: Act as the Traffic Controller/Team Leader, ensuring efficient traffic management and safety.
• Traffic Control Vehicle Setup: Set up and manage traffic control vehicles at various job sites.
• Collaborate with Road Assistance Crew: Work alongside road assistance teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Site Attendance: Attend multiple job sites throughout the day, covering areas from Werribee to Footscray.
• Traffic Management Setup: Establish and maintain traffic management plans for road maintenance crews.
• Document Management: Accurately complete and file all necessary documents related to traffic control and site operations.
• Reactive Work: Respond quickly and effectively to changing conditions and urgent needs on-site.

Requirements:

• Level 3 Traffic Controller 
• Experience in leading a crew
• Experience working in Traffic Management with a diverse range of stakeholders
• TMA license and heavy rigid licence is desirable
• Current Traffic management tickets RIWHS205E & RIIWHS302 or a new ticket as required by AGTTM (TC1, TC2, TMI1/TMI2/TMI3)
• Industry Induction White Card
• Take personal responsibility for the safety of your workmates, the environment, public and yourself
• A safety-first attitude – for yourself, your team and the public
