Groundskeeper - Land Management

We are currently seeking a Groundskeeper to support our Defence Base Services contract at RAAF Williams, Laverton.

What you will be doing:

• Carry out prestart inspection and non-technical maintenance on plant and machinery.
• Chainsaw operation.
• Sports field line marking. 
• Chemical handling and application.
• Litter & rubbish collection.
• General garden duties including weeding, pruning and mulching.
• Maintain site to an acceptable level of presentation, functoriality and safety.

About you: 

• Qualifications in Horticulture or relevant years of experience.
• Chemical application certificate.
• Experience in environmental grounds maintenance.
• Experience in the use of
• Grounds Maintenance machinery such as: ride on mowers, tractors, brush cutters etc.
• Experience with using a chainsaw.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Sound problem solving, organising and time management skills.

You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and Medical Pre-Employment Checks as required by the contract.
